Maedeup Workshop with Youngmin Lee

Discover the timeless art of Maedeup (매듭), traditional Korean decorative knotting, in this beginner-friendly workshop led by renowned textile artist Youngmin Lee. Perfect for those new to maedeup, you'll learn three traditional Korean knots—Yeonbong (Lotus Bud, 연봉), Jamjari (Dragonfly, 잠자리), and Dorae (도래)—before combining them to create your own charming dragonfly ornament to take home. Along the way, you'll explore the history, symbolism, and craftsmanship behind this centuries-old Korean art form. No prior experience is necessary, and all materials are provided.
