Grill & Chill: AKASF Summer Picnic

Join us for our annual AKASF summer picnic in Golden Gate Park! We’ll be firing up the grills, hosting a cornhole tournament, and bringing some fun with games and prizes. Whether you stop by for a quick bite or stay for the fun, it’s an easy, come-as-you-are kind of gathering.

AKASF will be providing Korean BBQ along with classic sides, snacks, and refreshments. We’ll also have a small raffle running throughout the day.

WHEN & WHERE: Saturday, June 27th | 11AM – 4PM

Parking Logistics:
Free street parking available throughout Golden Gate Park (can fill up quickly)

Closest access points:

  • John F. Kennedy Drive (JFK Drive)

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Drive

  • Polo Fields parking lot nearby (short walk to meadow)

Restrooms:
Public restrooms located near the Polo Fields / equestrian (horse stables) area, a short walking distance from Lindley Meadow.

COST & REGISTRATION:
This event is free to attend. If you're able and willing to contribute, AKASF welcomes donations of any amount. All contributions help us continue creating meaningful programs, events, and spaces for our community to connect and grow.

What to Bring:

  • BYOB encouraged, and if you feel like bringing something to share, go for it—but absolutely not required.

  • Blanket or lawn chairs

  • Sun protection

ATTIRE:

  • Layers! San Francisco weather can be unpredictable—expect fog, wind, and sun (“June Gloom” is real)

  • Comfortable shoes

WHO:
Open to all adoptees, family members, and friends.
Dog-friendly (well-behaved pups welcome)
