Thinking about attending the 2026 IKAA Gathering? Whether you're a first-time attendee or returning for another year, join AKASF for a casual evening to connect with fellow Korean adoptees before heading to Korea.
We're excited to welcome Tommy Gentzel, President of the International Korean Adoptee Associations (IKAA), for an informal Info Session & Mixer. Tommy will provide an overview of this year's IKAA Gathering, share tips for first-time attendees, answer questions during an open Q&A, and offer insights to help you make the most of your experience in Korea.
Following the info session, those attending the IKAA Gathering are invited to continue the conversation over an optional group dinner. Later in the evening, we'll be joined by the broader Bay Area Korean adoptee community for karaoke—bringing everyone together for a fun and relaxed night of connection.
For Korean adoptees not attending the 2026 IKAA Gathering, a separate community dinner will be organized nearby before everyone meets for karaoke.

The Info Session & Mixer is free to attend.
Dinner, drinks, and karaoke are optional and pay-your-own-way.
Location & Parking
All event locations are within San Francisco's Japantown and are just a short 1–2 block walk from one another.
Metered parking and nearby public parking garages are available. Please allow extra time to find parking.
